Why is everybody using bullet points?

Bullet points are awesome because:

- They break down complex information into simple sentences.

- They let you emphasize things you want to say.

- People love lists.

Not convinced on that last one? Search the word listicle on Google and prepare yourself for a good old rabbit hole.

No matter how much anybody loves to read, large blocks of text are stressful for the brain.

People look at them and subconsciously think that the time commitment is too big. That happens because the brain is trying to conserve energy.

The best way to write is to do it in a way that makes your reader forget he is reading. In other words: make it damn easy for him to read your copy.

Use this principle to create good bullet points:

Each sentence must point to something either interesting or appealing.

A list of the content of a coaching program for dating may look like this:

- Why you need to forget everything you know about love.

- How to feel confident on any date.

- How to be interesting.

- What it really means to build connection.

You get the drill.

Break down your program or your product into smaller value nuggets. Then list them away in bullet points.

Let the eyes of your reader have a rest.
